Fashion for the fuller woman

Almost every fashion show involves slim, and to some extent, shamelessly skinny models.  The well-endowed women, the so-called over-size, are always left out of such events no matter how presentable they may be.

This leave many asking if   well-built or, in the Kenyan parlance the "well-eaten" mamas are also  "out of fashion." But fashion designers in Canada seem to have listened and heard, as some Kenyan politicians would say, to  the "cries" of  such women over alleged discrimination.  The well-rounded women presented, in style, various designs meant for the  over-size ladies at  the 2012 International Fuller Woman Expo at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto, Canada, July 15,2012. The event sought to encourage the plus-size women to recognize their internal and external beauty. (Text: Xinhua/Stephen Mburu. Photos: Xinhua/Zou Zheng)
