Beckham training mission in China attracts thousands of fans

Former England captain David Beckham, now an ambassador to the Chinese Super League, was on a training mission in China where his fans flocked venues to see the football legend in action.

  During his June tour, the retired star had time to train youth and children at Nanjing Olympic Centre in Nanjing. The recently-retired British footballer was warmly received by fans as he took the youngsters through the lessons.
    Beckham was on a seven-day visit to China as the ambassador for the Football Programme in China and China's Super League.
The 38-year-old superstar began his new role in March, before announcing his retirement in May, after winning the French league title with Paris Saint-Germain.
    At one time, he had to cancel a training session after five people were hurt in a stampede as they rushed to see him.
